Membership Milestone - Meet our 500th Member

Published: Wednesday 30 May 2012

CEFPI Australasia has just signed up our 500th member and we think this an important milestone to acknowledge. We asked Paul D’Astoli about his background and why he joined CEFPI. Here is his response…

I have been a School Principal for the past 22 years. I have had the privilege of establishing two school from scratch, Nazareth College Noble Park North 1986-96 and Thomas Carr College Tarneit, 1996- 2006. These were green fields sites that were transformed from piles of mud and dust to thriving educational communities. During this period I worked closely with Architects and Builders to bring an educational vision to fruition. This against a background of limited resources and strict budgets.

At the present time I am Principal of Marymede Catholic College South Morang which is a rapidly growing P-12 School in the Plenty Valley Growth Corridor. We have recently completed a $10 million project, with more to come.

I also spent 6 months working in the Planning and Infrastructure Department of the Catholic Education Office Melbourne assisting with the roll out of the BER in Catholic Schools in Victoria.

I think that I will enjoy my membership of CEFPI and hope to be able to make a contribution to its deliberations.

cheers Paul D’Astoli
