Transformance: Harness the power of games with Kate Raynes-Goldie

Published: Wednesday 17 April 2019

Award winning game designer and "explainer of the future", Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie, says we need playfulness now more than ever.

The entertainment games industry is estimated to be worth $140 billion USD, bigger than both the film and music industry combined. That doesn't include gamification, serious games or virtual and augmented reality.

At the same time, schools are finding that children no longer know how to play. Organisations are struggling to innovate and foster creativity to keep up with the massive changes happening in all aspects of society and business thanks to disruptive technologies.

Understanding and leveraging games as a culture, mindset and process is critical for the future.

In her keynote and workshop, Kate will reveal the power of play - how it shifts mindsets, liberates thinking and makes the "hard", effortless.
